PASTOR CHRISTINA SCHULTZ

Pastor Christina Schultz joined Faith Lutheran in July of 2023.  She was ordained as a Pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) in June of 2023.  Being a Pastor is NOT Pastor Christina’s first career.  She started as an Industrial and Operations Engineer, graduating from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). After working as an engineer for a few years, she stopped to take care of her young children and to pursue music ministry leadership at a couple of ELCA churches.

In 2009, Christina started a business (www.embracedincomfort.com) as a response to a need she saw in her children. Her children both wore Scoliosis back braces at a young age, and she noticed a lack of comfortable and functional undergarments specifically designed for braces.  One patent and almost two decades later, she still oversees this business, which ships products to businesses and individuals all over the world.  (She has a fabulous team member who manages the day-to-day operations)

Pastor Christina brings a lot of her engineering and business experience into the day-to-day operations of church management, but what she loves most is preaching and teaching the gospel.  Her greatest passions are social justice issues, with a special passion for expressing Christ’s love for the LGBTQIA+ community.  She also loves to uplift the roles of women in scripture.

When she is not working, Pastor Christina loves to play music - violin, piano, and singing - and she loves to participate in community theater.  She also enjoys swimming, yoga, and martial arts.  She resides in Saginaw with her husband and two cats and enjoys occasional visits from her two young adult children.

music director/ interim av coordinator

Tyler Morse has served as the Music Director and Interim AV Coordinator at Faith since October of 2025. Tyler lives in Saginaw with his wife, Heather, their 4-year-old dog, Hank, and their 11-year-old cat, Judson. Tyler grew up in Frankenmuth, where his mom was a teacher and music director at a number of local churches. He attended SVSU for a B.A. in Music Education and taught for five years before beginning a Master’s in Music, Choral Conducting at Oakland University, which he completed in the Spring of 2025. Outside of his work and career, he enjoys a lot of hobbies, including cooking for his family, taking Hank on long walks (blue heelers need a lot of exercise), or relaxing with Heather and a nice drink, be it tea or gin on the rocks. Of course, one of his true loves is music, and he brings this passion with him to every choir rehearsal and worship service.
